Nabingola, Mubende – A tragic incident has shaken the community of Nabingola town council in Mubende district, where a couple, Tumusiime Ronald, 37, a teacher, and Kamukama Justine, 40, a businesswoman, were found dead in their home on Monday evening, April 20, 2026.

According to eyewitnesses, the couple’s two-year-old child was heard crying from the bedroom around 17:00 hours, prompting a neighbor, Senabulya Elvis, to investigate.

He peeped through the window and was shocked to see the bodies lying in a pool of blood. He immediately alerted local leaders, who reported the matter to Nabingoola police.

Upon arrival, police found signs of a physical fight, with broken household items and deep cut wounds on the bodies.

The couple had been heard quarreling the previous evening, neighbors said. The discovery of the bodies has left the community in shock, with many expressing concern over the rising cases of domestic violence in the area.

The bodies have been taken to Mubende hospital for postmortem, and police are investigating the incident.

    Mubende district has reported alarming domestic violence-related murder cases: 10 in 2022, 7 in 2023, 7 in 2024, and 10 in 2025.

The trend is worrying, indicating a potential rise in such violent incidents, sparking concerns about safety and the need for interventions to address domestic violence.

“All forms of domestic violence are condemned, and we advise those in abusive marriages to seek help from authorities,” said SSP Lameck Kigozi, police spokesperson for Wamala region.
