Mubende, Uganda – A tragic accident occurred in Mubende district on Sunday morning, resulting in the death of one person and injuring several others.
The accident involved a drone taxi that crashed into a parked Fuso truck.
According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the drone taxi, registration number UBQ 042X, was allegedly asleep at the wheel.
However, another account suggests that the driver may have swerved to avoid a collision with an oncoming vehicle from Kampala, and instead crashed into the parked Fuso truck, registration number UBG 847X.
The accident occurred in Bakijulula village, South Division, Mubende Municipal, Mubende District.

Police from Mubende Central Police Station responded quickly to the scene and rushed the injured to Mubende Regional Hospital for treatment.
One person died instantly in the crash, while several others were injured. The police have not yet released further details about the accident, but an investigation is underway.
