    Kasanda District, Kalwanza Sub County, Uganda – A devastating incident has occurred at St. Jude Primary School, a universal primary school located in Kyabalanzi, Kalwanza Sub County, leaving the education community in shock.

    Kisaakye Merry, a 14-year-old Primary Seven (P7) candidate, died unexpectedly on Thursday afternoon, October 24, 2024, within the school compound.

    Details surrounding the cause of death remain unclear, as officials from the school have yet to release an official statement. Authorities are working to determine the circumstances surrounding Kisaakye’s sudden passing.

    Police and education officials have launched an investigation into the incident.

    The sudden loss of Kisaakye Merry has sent shockwaves through the school community. Students, teachers, and parents are grappling with the news, and counseling services are being provided to those affected.

    Kisaakye was a dedicated student preparing for her final Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE). Her untimely death has robbed her of the opportunity to realize her academic aspirations.
