Aspiring MP for Buwekula County in Mubende District, Mujawimana Judith, has thrown her weight behind the Nva Mubende Festival, an annual event aimed at promoting Mubende’s culture and economy.
This year’s festival, slated for January 18, 2025, will be the third edition and has been spiced up with a charity run, led by Golola Moses, to raise funds for mother kits for pregnant mothers in Mubende hospitals.
The festival, brainchild of radio and TV presenter Ismael Ssegawa, also known as Sureman Ssegawa, has gained popularity over the years, with the community embracing the idea and showing their support.
The charity run, a new addition to the festival, will see participants receive a mother kit worth 20,000 Uganda shillings, which will also serve as a ticket to the festival in the evening.
Mujawimana Judith has demonstrated her commitment to the festival by purchasing running kits worth 300,000 Uganda shillings and pledging to participate in the charity run.
