Kampala, Uganda – The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) is set to release the 2024 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results this Friday, January 17, 2025, at State House Nakasero.
The First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Kataha Museveni, will officiate the release of the results.
Over 700,000 candidates who sat for the examinations in November 2024 are eagerly awaiting the outcome, which will mark a significant milestone in their transition to secondary education.

UNEB officials have confirmed that the results will be available on examination center portals for schools to download, while hard copies can be collected from the UNEB offices at Ntinda.
In addition, students, parents, and educators will be able to access the results via Short Message Services (SMS) on mobile networks, providing instant access to individual results.
To access the results via SMS, candidates can type PLE, leave a space, and then type their index number, sending it to 6600.
The release of the PLE results comes ahead of the new academic calendar year, which is set to begin in February 2025.
UNEB officials have assured the public that the examination process was conducted fairly and transparently, with all necessary measures in place to ensure the integrity of the results.
