Kampala, Uganda – National Unity Platform (NUP) president Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine, has today graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree from Cavendish University in Kampala.
The former presidential candidate was among hundreds of students conferred with degrees at the university’s graduation ceremony.
In a statement, Bobi Wine revealed that his academic achievement was not without challenges, citing efforts by detractors to block his graduation.
He alleged that some individuals, allegedly working for the regime, petitioned the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) to investigate his academic records.
According to Bobi Wine, NCHE officials conducted a thorough investigation, scrutinizing his application form, admission forms, class attendance records, written exams, coursework, and tuition payment records.
Following the investigation, he was cleared to graduate.
Bobi Wine’s graduation marks a significant milestone in his academic and political journey, solidifying his position as a leading figure in Uganda’s opposition movement.
