English footballer Ivan Toney has signed a lucrative four-year deal with Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli, making him one of the best-paid English players.
Toney’s weekly salary will be around £400,000 after tax, according to The Telegraph. With add-ons and bonuses, his total salary could reach £500,000 per week.
To earn the same amount in the UK, Toney would need a salary of nearly £1 million per week due to tax differences.
Toney previously played for Brentford, where he earned £50,000 per week. His transfer to Al Ahli was secured for €40 million after a deal for Victor Osimhen fell through on UK Deadline Day.
