    Mityana, Uganda –

A stunning revelation has emerged in the investigation into the devastating fire that ravaged the boys’ dormitory at Wilton Nursery and Primary School in Mityana.

The boys dormitory that was set fire

According to sources close to the probe, the 10-year-old pupil responsible for the blaze confessed that his actions were motivated by revenge.

The young arsonist, whose identity remains withheld due to his age, allegedly told authorities that one of his dormitory mates had annoyed him, prompting him to seek revenge.

In a disturbing turn of events, the boy deliberately lit a match and set fire to the mattress, engulfing the dormitory in flames.

Fortunately, no lives were lost, thanks to the swift response of teachers, neighbors, and the police fire brigade. However, the blaze destroyed the dormitory, leaving significant damage.

The police assure that counseling services will be provided to the affected students and staff.

Authorities are also working closely with the school administration to implement measures preventing similar incidents.

    Parents Urged to Remain Calm

In a statement, school authorities and local police have appealed to parents and guardians to remain calm, assuring that the situation is under control.
