BUL Football Club continued their resurgence in the Uganda Premier League, securing their third consecutive win with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Soltilo Bright Stars FC at the Lugazi Stadium on Thursday.
Anwar Ntege’s ninth-minute header proved decisive, as he met Nicholas Mwere’s expertly taken free kick with precision, scoring his first goal of the season.
Ntege’s strike was enough to separate the two teams, despite Soltilo Bright Stars’ efforts to equalize.
BUL FC’s recent form has been a welcome turnaround after a sluggish start to the season.
Coach Abbey Kikomeko Bogere, who had faced intense pressure, will be relieved to see his team grinding out results, even if performances have not been entirely convincing.
The win propels BUL FC to fourth place in the Uganda Premier League standings with 11 points from seven matches.
Conversely, Soltilo Bright Stars remain winless, anchored at the bottom of the table with just three points.
Next, BUL FC will face Mbale Heroes on November 10, 2024, as they look to extend their winning streak.
The Uganda Premier League continues to unfold, with BUL FC’s resurgence and Soltilo Bright Stars’ struggles making for intriguing storylines.
