Dedan Mubangizi, the aspiring Member of Parliament for Buwekula South in Mubende district, is once again giving back to his community through a free medical camp.
This initiative is part of his efforts to address the challenge of limited access to free medication in the area, where government hospitals are few and far between.
Mubangizi’s vision is to have health centers built throughout Buwekula South, equipped with necessary medication to improve the well-being of his constituents.
Although he is not yet the area MP, he is taking proactive steps to make a positive impact on his community.
The free medical camp, which was previously held in Kibyamirizi and benefited over 10,000 people, will take place in two different areas of Buwekula South.
The first event will be held at Kitenga Primary School in Rwamashengero-Kayebe subcounty from March 22-23, while the second event will take place at Kisenyi Playground-Kitenga subcounty from March 24-25.
Services Offered at the Medical Camp
- Free medical checkup
- Ultra sound scan services
- Eye screening and treatment
- Blood pressure and diabetes tests
- Dental care
- General medicine
Mubangizi emphasized that serving his community and seeing people receive essential services is his top priority. He promised to do even more when he is elected as the area MP.
Mubangizi has a track record of generous activities in his community, including donating an ambulance and supporting the construction of schools.
His efforts have earned him the appreciation and admiration of his constituents, which may give him an edge in the upcoming National Resistance Movement primaries and the 2026 general elections.
