Kampala, Uganda – A technical hitch halted the murder trial of Molly Katanga, widow of the late Henry Katanga, today after an internet failure prevented her virtual appearance in court.

Molly Katanga, currently remanded at Luzira prison, was scheduled to appear before Justice Isaac Muwata via Zoom Tuesday afternoon 20-08-2024, but the internet connection failed, disrupting the proceedings.

The court was unable to proceed with the trial due to the technical difficulties, prompting Justice Muwata to adjourn the case to tomorrow, August 21, 2024.

The adjournment is expected to allow for the resolution of the internet connectivity issues, enabling Molly Katanga to appear in court via Zoom as scheduled.

The trial is set to resume tomorrow, with hopes that the technical glitches will be rectified, allowing for a smooth continuation of the proceedings.
