Kampala, Uganda — The Electoral Commission, led by Chairperson Justice Simon Mugenyi Byabakama, met with the senior leadership of the Uganda Police Force, led by Director of Operations AIGP Frank Mwesigwa, to discuss security issues and conduct in the ongoing campaigns for the by-election in Kawempe North Division.

The meeting, held at the EC headquarters on 7th Street Industrial Area, focused on ensuring that all actors follow the law and guidelines issued by the Commission, avoid violent confrontations, and exercise maximum restraint.

This is to ensure that the people of Kawempe can choose their representatives in peace and security.
