The wait is almost over for the 798,771 candidates who sat for the 2024 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).

The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has confirmed that the results will be officially released tomorrow, Thursday, January 23, 2025.

The results will be unveiled at a ceremony scheduled to take place at State House, Nakasero, starting at 11:00 AM.

The event will be presided over by the First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports Janet Kataha Museven, highlighting the importance of education in Uganda and the government’s commitment to the sector.

To ensure that the results are accessible to a wider audience, UNEB has arranged for the ceremony to be live-streamed on various platforms.

This move is expected to enable candidates, parents, and other stakeholders to follow the event in real-time, eliminating the need to physically attend the ceremony.

The 2024 PLE examination saw a significant increase in registration, with 798,771 candidates sitting for the exam, compared to 749,254 in 2023. This represents a percentage increase of 6.
