A joint security team comprising police, military, and vigilantes has arrested two suspects, Lumu Jovan and Mawanda Nicholas Kasozi, in connection with possession of a sharp panga in Kireka Biira, Uganda.
According to police reports, Lumu was apprehended at approximately 2:00 AM on November 5, 2025, near the Oilcom petrol station, in possession of the sharp panga.
He revealed that he and two accomplices had been transported by motorcycle rider Mawanda from Nansana to Kireka Biira.

The security team traced Mawanda and arrested him, along with the motorcycle (registration number UMA201DQ), after it developed a flat tire. Both suspects are currently detained at Bulenga Police Station, facing charges of possession of a dangerous weapon.
Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango SSP stated that investigations are ongoing to identify other individuals involved. The panga and motorcycle have been seized as exhibits.
