Mubende, Uganda – Ismael Ssegawa alias Sureman Ssegawa, a popular radio personality, sports commentator, popular musician and social influencer in Mubende, has officially thrown his support behind National Unity Platform (NUP) candidates in the district, urging voters to back the party’s flag bearers in the upcoming general elections.
Ssegawa, affectionately known as “Most Wanted we Mubende,” recently contested for the Mubende Municipality MP seat but was unsuccessful in securing the party card.
Instead of running independently, he chose to rally behind NUP candidates, citing his desire for change and development in the area.
On Saturday 10th, Ssegawa attended a campaign event in Buweekula county, Mubende district, where he mobilized youths to vote for NUP candidates.
He accompanied several NUP aspirants, including Steven Ndagiziman (MP Buweekula county), Nanyanzi Hope Felister (Woman MP Mubende district), and Kyeyune Pafuladiito Bazirondere (LC5 chairperson Mubende district).

Addressing gathering of supporters, Ssegawa urged voters to embrace change and support NUP’s vision for a better Uganda.
His endorsement is seen as significant, given his influence among young people in Mubende and his ability to mobilize crowds.
“I’m happy to be here today to support my fellow youths and the NUP team,” Ssegawa said. “We need change, and NUP is the way to go. Let’s vote for them on January 15.”
Ssegawa’s supporters welcomed his message, promising to vote for NUP candidates in the general elections.
The event was attended by several NUP aspirants for various positions in Buweekula county, who expressed gratitude for Ssegawa’s support.
The NUP team is optimistic that Ssegawa’s endorsement will boost their campaign and sway undecided voters in Mubende.

With just a few days to go before the elections, the party is pulling out all stops to secure victory.
