kampala, uganda – President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has appointed Mishac Kawamara as his new senior presidential advisor-mobilization.
Kawamara’s primary responsibility will be to boost community engagement and support national development initiatives. with his experience as resident district commissioner of kyegegwa and ntoroko districts, kawamara is well-equipped to take on this role.
This appointment comes as president museveni prepares to launch his mobilization efforts for the 2026 general elections.
Kawamara joins a team of notable presidential advisors, including singer eddy kenzo, who was recently appointed as the senior presidential advisor on creatives. kenzo’s role aims to promote the creative industry.
Other presidential advisors in the creative sector include musician catherine kusasira and full figure.
The president’s office currently has 141 advisors, with former vice president prof. gilbert bukenya being the latest addition, providing counsel on environmental matters.
