In a shocking turn of events, Museveni William Ndori, the incumbent MP for Buwekula South constituency, has lost in opinion polls conducted on Point FM 105.1 in Mubende.

This comes just a week after Hon. Lubega Bashir (NRM) MP for Mubende municipality lost to Nabawanuka Sumayah (NUP) in similar opinion polls.

The opinion polls, held by Africa Ronald in the Mulongooti program, saw Deadan Mubangizi (NRM) emerge as the preferred candidate with 47 votes.

Mubangizi, known for his slogan “service first,” has been instrumental in providing various services to the community, including an ambulance, a secondary school, a medical camp, and clean water projects.

Mubangizi’s commitment to serving the community has been evident in his numerous initiatives. He donated an ambulance to the community, which has been providing vital medical transportation services.

He also played a key role in the construction of St. Mark Secondary School, where he mobilized his friends to contribute 100 million shillings towards the project.

Furthermore, Mubangizi organized a medical camp that provided free treatment to over 10,000 community members over a period of three days. He also donated medical equipment, including scans and beds, to hospitals in the area.

In addition, Mubangizi has been working on a project to provide clean water to the community, with several boreholes already dug in various villages.

In contrast, incumbent MP William Ndori received only 18 votes, with many community members expressing dissatisfaction with his performance.

The results of the opinion polls suggest that Mubangizi’s commitment to serving the community has resonated with voters, who are now backing him for the NRM primaries in 2025 and the general election in 2026.

The full results of the opinion polls are as follows:

    • Dedan Mubangizi: 47 votes
    • Tumwesigye Fred: 28 votes
    • Ssempiira Edward (NUP) : 25 votes
    • Ndooli Museveni William: 18 votes
    • Richard Tumusiime: 1 vote

The outcome of the opinion polls has sent shockwaves through the political landscape in Mubende, with many analysts predicting a tough road ahead for the incumbent MP.

As the political temperature continues to rise in the area, one thing is clear: the people of Buwekula South constituency are eager for change, and Deadan Mubangizi is poised to capitalize on the momentum.
