Mubende district leadership, led by Assistant RDC Musiime Sarah Lukomera, has launched the construction of school structures worth UGX 192,700,921 under the School Facilitation Grant.
The launched structures include a two-unit staff house at Kitaama Primary School, valued at UGX 101,657,307, and a two-classroom block at Kiboyo Primary School in Kiyuni Sub-county, worth UGX 91,043,614.
The two-unit staff house will feature two bedrooms, a sitting room, bathroom, store, two lighting arrestors, kitchen, and two stance pit latrines.
Dadasa Service Ltd has been awarded the contract, with a completion period of five months. Sakal Investments Limited will construct the two-classroom block, also within a five-month contract period.
Assistant RDC Musiime Sarah Lukomera expressed gratitude to the President and government for initiating various projects in Mubende district aimed at improving livelihoods.
She emphasized the importance of parents taking their children to school, reminding residents that education in government primary and secondary schools is free of charge.

LCV Chairman Hon Muhereza Ntambi Micheal thanked the President for allocating funds for constructing staff houses.
He appealed to residents to take their children to school, highlighting the government’s investments in constructing classes, staff houses, paying teachers, and providing UPE capitation grants.
Other officials, including DCAO Mr. Mawa Geofery and Senior Education Officer Mr. Mabirizi Mohammed, emphasized the importance of monitoring and supervising construction works to ensure value for money.
They also encouraged stakeholders to provide necessities to support the education sector.
