A serious accident occurred on Thursday morning 13-11-2025 at around 06:30hrs at Kagavu along the Mubende-Kampala road in Mityana district, leaving two children injured and a bodaboda rider in critical condition.
According to police reports, a Toyota Premio vehicle (reg no UBA 363T) driven by a military staff attached to Kabamba military garrison attempted to overtake a motorcycle carrying two passengers, resulting in a collision.

The victims identified as 10-year-old Nansubuga Ritah, a pupil at Kyankowe Day and Boarding Primary School, and 6-year-old Bambi Anita, a pupil at St John Paul Nursery and Primary School, both residents of Nakitooro village in Ttamu division, Mityana district.
The bodaboda rider remains unidentified and is currently in critical condition.
The police team, led by Head Constable Major Wathum Abubaker, arrived at the scene and evacuated the victims to Mityana Hospital for treatment.
The vehicle was impounded, and the driver arrested. The motorcycle is still missing, and efforts are underway to recover it.
Preliminary investigations suggest reckless driving as the cause of the accident, with further investigations ongoing.
Police have cautioned bodaboda riders against removing motorcycles from accident scenes, as it hinders investigations.
