Kampala, Uganda – Joseph Tamale Mirundi, a former presidential adviser, journalist, author, and political analyst, who passed away , August 14th, 2024, after a long battle for his life in hospital.

The Ugandan government has announced the funeral program for the late Tamale Mirundi, which will take place from today to Sunday, August 18th, 2024.
On Wednesday, a vigil and mass will be held at the Zana Residence, followed by a Requiem Mass at St. Gyaviira Catholic Church in Bunamwaya on Thursday at 10:00 am.
The body will then be taken to the Zana Residence for an overnight vigil.
On Friday, the body will be taken to the Kyengera Residence for a mass at 10:00 am, followed by another overnight vigil.
The following day, Saturday, the body will leave for Kalagala Village in Kaliisizo, Rakai District, where a vigil will be held.
The burial ceremony will take place on Sunday, August 18th, starting at 10:00 am at Kalagala Village, Kaliisizo in Rakai District.
Faruk Kirunda, State House Press Officer, has announced the funeral arrangements on behalf of the government.
The late Joseph Tamale Mirundi served as a presidential adviser and was a respected figure in Ugandan journalism and politics, known for his sharp analysis and fearless commentary.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the community.
