Buwekula Sazza Football Club finally tasted victory in the ongoing Masaza Tournament 2025, defeating Bulemeezi Sazza 3:0 on Sunday, July 13, 2025.
This win comes after a tough start to the tournament, which saw Buwekula lose 2:1 to Mawokota in an away match and draw 0:0 with Bugerere at home.
The victory has brought joy to the fans, who had been critical of the team’s performance. After the match, fans requested the management to maintain the winning momentum and secure more wins in the tournament.
Sureman Ssegawa, a sports analyst and Buwekula fan, expressed the sentiment of many supporters, saying, “What we want is to see our team winning because, at the end of it all, we want to be the champions of this year’s tournament.”
Coach Felix Ssekabuuza appealed for patience from the fans, assuring them that his team is committed to winning. “At the end, i and my team we are here to win,” he said.
With this win, Buwekula now stands in second position in its group, with 4 points. Mawokota Sazza tops the table with 7 points.
