– Buwekula Saza Football Club has solidified its position as a formidable force in the ongoing Masaza Cup 2025 after securing its second consecutive win in the tournament. On Saturday, the team visited Kyaddondo Saza Football Club at Hamza Stadium and emerged victorious with a 2-1 win.
Jimmy Kalema, Buwekula’s star player, scored both goals for his team, including a penalty in the 51st minute and a decisive second goal in the 88th minute.
Marvin Kabiito had leveled the score for Kyaddondo in the 55th minute after Kalema’s initial strike.
The winning goal sparked jubilations among Buwekula fans while Kyaddondo supporters were left disgruntled.
Other matches played on the same day included Ssese’s 2-1 win over Busiro, while Kabula and Mawogola played out a goalless draw.
In subsequent matches played on Sunday, July 20, Buwekula’s position at the top of the Masengere group was further strengthened following Mawokota’s loss. Buwekula now sits atop the group with 7 points after four matchdays.

Felix Ssekabuuza, Buwekula’s coach, expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance, reiterating their determination to win the tournament.
“We are here to win, and I’m glad that’s what my team is doing,” Ssekabuuza said.
Looking ahead, Buwekula Saza Football Club will face its next challenge on Saturday, July 26, when they visit Buvuma Saza Football Club at Magyo SG.
