Ismael Ssegawa, popularly known as Sureman Ssegawa, has made a heartfelt donation of books to primary school learners in Mubende municipality.
This generous act aims to support their education and boost their morale to continue studying.
As an aspiring member of parliament for Mubende municipality, representing the National Unity Platform, Ssegawa’s ultimate goal is to ensure all learners in the municipality receive quality education.
His passion for education stems from his personal experiences, having come from a humble background.
“I myself don’t have a rich background during my schooling,” Ssegawa revealed. “When I see these little ones, I understand what they’re going through. They really need our support as leaders.” He promised to do more to support education in the area when elected.
Ssegawa took the opportunity to inspire pupils to continue studying, emphasizing that education is key to success.
“If I didn’t study, I wouldn’t be here today to lead,” he said. He also encouraged parents to continue supporting their children’s education, promising to seek opportunities to aid such parents when elected.
The book donation took place in Kyewanise village, South division, Mubende municipality, where Ssegawa has been conducting door-to-door campaigns.
The community warmly welcomed him, pledging their support due to his vision for the community.
Notably, this is not Ssegawa’s first book donation.
He has previously given books to children from various schools in Butoloogo Buwekula county, Mubende district, demonstrating his long-standing commitment to supporting education in the area.
Ssegawa’s dedication to education and community development has resonated with the people of Mubende municipality, who see him as a leader who truly cares about their well-being.
As the elections approach, Ssegawa’s popularity continues to grow, fueled by his passion for creating positive change in the community.
