Kampala, Uganda – A group of influential Kampala city tycoons, operating under the Bagagga Kwagala group, have pledged to fund and mobilize campaigns for Hajjat Minsa Kabanda, the current Kampala minister seeking the Central MP seat.

According to reports, the decision was made during a meeting of the Bagagga Kwagala group, where members discussed supporting President Museveni’s campaigns and other NRM candidates in the Buganda region, particularly in Kampala.
The meeting, summoned by chairperson Godfrey Kirumira, aimed to prepare the group for President Museveni’s upcoming campaigns in Buganda and Kampala.
The tycoons have declared their intention to take full control of supporting Museveni’s campaigns in the region, with the ultimate goal of ensuring his victory in the region and retention of the presidency.
The group’s support for Minister Kabanda is part of a broader strategy to secure her victory in the Kampala Central MP seat, while also contributing to President Museveni’s re-election bid.
Prominent tycoons, including Kasaayi of Park Enkadde mall and Ham Kiggundu, have been assigned to mobilize and ensure that Minister Kabanda has sufficient funds for her political campaigns and President Museveni’s rallies in Buganda.
The group’s efforts are expected to significantly boost Minister Kabanda’s chances of securing the Kampala Central MP seat, while also bolstering President Museveni’s support in the Buganda region, a crucial area in Uganda’s electoral landscape.
