Kampala, Uganda – A devastating road accident occurred today, November 24, 2024, at Kabulngwa village, Nansana, resulting in the loss of two young lives and leaving five others injured.
According to a statement by the Traffic Police, the fatal crash involved an Isuzu Elfu vehicle, registration number UBA 104G, which was carrying plastic chairs.
The incident occurred at approximately 09:30 am when the vehicle, while climbing a hilly murram road, lost control and reversed, ramming into a group of juvenile pedestrians from Golden Primary School who were walking in the opposite direction.
The accident resulted in the instant death of two pupils, while five others were injured and rushed to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Wakiso for medical attention. The deceased were conveyed to Mulago City Mortuary.
The vehicle involved in the accident has been towed to Lubigi Police Station, and inquiries are ongoing.
The Traffic Police have urged the public to exercise caution and follow traffic rules to prevent such tragic incidents.
