The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has officially announced that Thursday, January 23, 2025, is the day set for the release of the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) results.
The results will be unveiled at a ceremony scheduled to take place at State House, Nakasero, starting at 11:00 AM.
The event, which promises to be a significant milestone for candidates, parents, and the education sector as a whole, will be presided over by the First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports.
This high-profile attendance underscores the importance of education in Uganda and the government’s commitment to the sector.
To ensure that the results are accessible to a wider audience, UNEB has arranged for the ceremony to be live-streamed on various platforms.
This move is expected to enable candidates, parents, and other stakeholders to follow the event in real-time, eliminating the need to physically attend the ceremony.
A total of 798,771 candidates registered for the 2024 examination, marking a significant increase from the 749,254 candidates who sat for the exam in 2023.
This represents a percentage increase of 6.6%, indicating a growing number of students participating in the PLE examinations.
The release of the PLE results is a critical moment for candidates, as it determines their future academic prospects.
UNEB’s efforts to make the results widely available are, therefore, a welcome development.
As the countdown to the release of the results begins, candidates, parents, and educators are advised to stay tuned for updates and to follow the live-streamed event for real-time information on the results.
