Bbossa served as Assistant Commissioner of Public and Corporate Affairs since late 2021, leading URA’s public-facing initiatives during a period of significant reforms.

Under his leadership, URA implemented various initiatives aimed at enhancing transparency and taxpayer education.

    His achievements include:

The successful Mpa E Receipt Yange campaign, promoting electronic receipting and reducing tax evasion.

Transforming URA’s digital communication landscape through innovative campaigns and social media engagement.

Launching URA TV, a digital broadcasting platform enhancing taxpayer education and awareness.

Prioritizing taxpayer education, recognizing its importance in effective tax mobilization.

Developing the tax education function into a fully-fledged division, significantly expanding resource allocation.

Bbossa’s commitment to transparency and accountability earned him recognition for promptly responding to media inquiries and digital media platforms.

When asked about his next move, Bbossa hinted, “You’ll know soon enough. We are going to be working even more closely.”

Bbossa’s resignation comes after nearly three years of service to URA.

URA Commissioner General John R. Musinguzi has yet to announce a replacement.
