The Green Village Intergtared Community Initiative (GREVIC) has commended various ministers at Mt. Lebanon Christian Center Cathedral –Mukono

Among the recipients were the wife of the bishop of the church Pastor Margaret Naggayi Lwandasa, the Mass choir and the church security committee, They were also presented with various awards as a token of their excavation work in Mukono.

Pastor Stephen Ssemusu said they have come out to appreciate and thank the various people in our country Uganda and Mukono as a whole for some of the good things they have done.

Ssemusu said Bishop Lwandasa’s wife has done many things in greater Mukono especially to help the youth and change their lives including training them on how to work, maintain morals, change their dressing and walk in the ways like God.

“ She has helped to comfort desperate youth, help the homeless especially street children, slum dwellers and the elderly with great hope.” So he said.

He went on to say that they have decided to thank the singers and the security council of the center because they have done a great job in the area especially in converting people to salvation without coercion.

Pastor Margaret Naggayi Lwandasa, one of the recipients, said she had never expected this in her life and pledged to continue to serve people without complaining , and thus urged all people to use the opportunity the Lord has given them to help those in need to change their lives.

She thanked the agency for thinking of him and appreciating his work.

Bishop Samuel Lwandasa, the executive director of GREVIC, said the recipients of the awards have done a great job in comforting the hearts of the people, workers and what they do is completely foreign to what the department does

“ We travel around the area educating people to thank them for teaching us especially getting involved in crafts, understanding the value of husbands and wives, people protecting themselves and avoiding AIDS and being hygienic to avoid diseases and teaching different languages.”

The organization helps in counseling people especially those living with HIV by giving them hope that there is another life, vocational training and some of them have received certificates, as well as youth relocation from the ghetto and food, and educating people to avoid violent acts.
