Kiboga police have arrested Rev. Luyimbazi George William, principal of Bamusuta Vocational Institute, for allegedly defiling and raping four female students aged 16-18.
The incidents occurred between June and October 2024 at the vocational institute and Rev. Luyimbazi’s church residence. One of the victims is pregnant.
Rev. Luyimbazi’s arrest follows a report filed on November 1, 2024, at 6:00 pm. Police spokesperson SP Racheal Kawala confirmed that the suspect exploited the victims at different intervals from his church and school premises.
Medical examinations have been conducted, and investigations are ongoing.
The suspect has been identified as Rev. Luyimbazi George William of All Saints Church Kiboga and principal of Bamusuta Vocational Institute – Kiboga.
Ugandan Laws on Defilement:
– Defilement is defined as having sexual intercourse with a person under 18 years old.
– Punishment for rape is death, while attempted rape carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
