Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Clive Nsiima, the officer who was captured on video slapping a female mini supermarket attendant in Kyanja, Kampala, has been brought before the City Hall Court in Kampala.
Nsiima, attached to the Counter Terrorism Directorate under the Oil and Gas Protection Unit, faces charges of assault and threatening violence ¹.
The incident occurred on October 7, 2025, at a Shell fuel station in Kyanja, where Nsiima allegedly assaulted the attendant over an unpaid bill of Shs 30,000.
The video, which went viral on social media, shows Nsiima slapping the attendant twice across the face while shouting insults.
Nsiima was arrested on October 8, 2025, and has been in police custody since then. He faces possible dismissal and criminal prosecution if found guilty.
