Natukunda Sharon, a 29-year-old housewife, was reported missing on December 16, 2024, after disappearing from her matrimonial home in Kigowa Village, Nakawa Division, Kampala District.
Her parents filed a missing person’s report at Ntinda Police Station, prompting an investigation into her whereabouts.

After nearly a month of searching, Sharon was finally located on Monday, January 13, 2025, in Kabaga-Kayanga, a village in Kitezi Parish, Kasangati Division, Wakiso District.
Police officers found her at the office of the local council chairman, and she led them to her rental residence, about 200 meters away.
In an interview with the police, Sharon revealed that she had fled her home due to domestic violence perpetrated by her husband.
The police have since taken her to the hospital for medical attention.
