According to eyewitnesses, Mida, a driver of a cantar custom motor vehicle, had traveled with friends to Kayana village to collect banana leaves to transport to Kampala.

While his friends lodged nearby because they reached late night, Mida remained in the vehicle to prevent theft.

Shortly after, a fight erupted outside, and Mida’s friends found him being burnt alive, along with the vehicle.

Police were called to the scene, but unfortunately, Mida had already succumbed to his injuries.

His body was found burnt, lying in front of the charred vehicle.

The motive behind the mob justice is still unknown, and police investigations are ongoing.
