A horrific road accident has claimed the lives of 63 people and left several others injured in the early hours of October 22, 2025, near Kitaleba Village, along the Kampala-Gulu Highway.
The tragic incident involved four motor vehicles, including two buses, a lorry, and a Toyota Surf.
According to police reports, the accident occurred at around 12:15 am when the driver of an Isuzu bus (UBF 614X) traveling from Kampala to Gulu attempted to overtake a Tata Lorry (UBK 647C) at the same time another Isuzu bus (UAM 045V) traveling in the opposite direction tried to overtake the Toyota Surf (CGO 5132AB 07).
