A large crowd of people gathered today at the National Unity Platform (NUP) headquarters in Makerere-Kavule, Kampala, to participate in a blood donation drive organized by the party.
The event, which was announced earlier by NUP president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, aimed to collect blood donations to alleviate the chronic blood shortage in Ugandan hospitals.
The Uganda Blood Transfusion Services, which partnered with the NUP for the event, was on hand to collect the blood donations and expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response from the public.

The NUP president, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, was also in attendance and praised the participants for their generosity and commitment to giving back to the community.
“I am proud to see so many people coming out to support this important cause,” said Kyagulanyi. “Donating blood is a selfless act that can save lives, and I urge everyone to consider giving back to the community in this way.”
The blood donation drive is part of the NUP’s efforts to give back to the community and promote social responsibility.
The party has pledged to continue organizing similar events in the future.
