According to authorities, the infant was allegedly dumped by his biological mother, who attempted to suffocate him by placing his face downwards. Fortunately, the baby was discovered in time and rescued.

Rachel Kawala, Police Spokesperson Wamala region, confirmed the incident, which occurred on August 5, 2024.

“The mother’s actions were clearly intentional, and we are investigating the circumstances surrounding the abandonment,” she stated.

The police have launched a manhunt for the heartless mother, urging anyone with information about her identity or whereabouts to come forward.

“We are working tirelessly to ensure the mother is brought to justice and held accountable for her actions,” said Asp. Kawala.

The baby is currently in the care of the police, who are working to find a suitable foster home for the infant.
