    Mityana, Uganda –

A devastating fire broke out at Wilton Primary School in Mityana, completely destroying the boys’ dormitory.

Fortunately, all students had already left for morning preps, and no one was inside the dormitory when the blaze occurred.

According to school management, the fire started around 6:00 am.

Although the exact cause is still unknown, police are currently investigating.

The fire destroyed various items, including mattresses, books, clothing, bedding, personal belongings, and furniture, leaving the dormitory in ruins.

“All students are safe and accounted for, and classes are continuing as usual,” said school headteacher.

“We urge parents to remain calm and assure them that we are working closely with authorities to determine the cause of the fire.”

The school has assured parents that measures are being taken to prevent such incidents in the future.
