    Buwekula ssaza team maintained their unbeaten record with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Gomba ssaza team at PTC grounds in Kabulasoke on Sunday, July 27, 2024.

    The winning goal was scored by Mukiibi Sharafa from the penalty spot.

    This win propels Buwekula to third position in their group with 9 points.

    Gomba ssaza team, despite the loss, remains in a challenging position with 3 points.

    Coach Ssekabuuza’s team has turned their season around after starting with three draws, and now has their sights set on climbing the table.

    In other matches played over the weekend, Buddu ssaza team edged out Bulemeezi 1-0, while Busiro and Ssese ssaza teams played out a goalless draw.

    Buluuli ssaza team defeated Bugerere 1-0, and Busujju ssaza team drew 0-0 with Mawokota.

    Kyaggwe ssaza team, with 10 points, holds second position after beating Kooki 1-0, and Mawogola ssaza team held Singo ssaza team to a 0-0 draw.

    Despite the match ending well, the technical bench of Gomba sparked a post-match brawl, hurling stones, water bottles, and tree branches onto the field.

    The situation escalated, prompting police intervention with tear gas to restore order.

    The Muganzirwaza group is heating up, and next Sunday’s matches promise to be thrilling.
