Kampala, Uganda – In a recent reshuffle of Resident District and City Commissioners and their deputies, President Museveni has replaced Herbert Anderson Burora, the embattled former Deputy Resident City Commissioner (RCC) of Rubaga.
According to a statement released by the presidency, President Museveni confirmed the changes on August 15.
However, the list of new appointments was circulated by the presidency on Monday, August 19, revealing Jinja South Division deputy RCC Henry Kitambula as Burora’s successor.
Burora’s replacement comes amidst ongoing legal battles, as he faces eight charges of hate speech and malicious information, all contrary to the Computer Misuse Act.
The reshuffle aims to strengthen the leadership and administration of the RCC offices, ensuring effective service delivery and governance at the local level.
As the new deputy RCC assumes office, attention will focus on the progress and initiatives under Kitambula’s leadership.
