AIGP Waswa David, Director Counter Terrorism UGANDA Police in company of Amir Umah Sheikh Muhammad Yunus Kamoga of Jumiat Dawa Al Salafiya at Nakasero and other Muslim leaders conducted an engagement at Ibadulrahman Mosque in Masaka City.
The engagement drew women from Masaka, Bukomansimbi, Lwengo and Kalungu under the theme “Islam is Not Terrorism”
It aimed at countering radicalization, preventing extremist recruitment disguised as religion, and challenge misconceptions linking Islam
AIGP Waswa David Ssengendo, called on the Muslim community to prioritize education as a tool for enlightenment against self seekers and embracing change in the fight against terrorism.
