According to Sebatta, the poisoning incidents occurred after he fell in love with a woman who he didn’t know was already involved with another man in the village.

Despite the existing relationship, the woman chose to be with Sebatta, sparking tensions that allegedly led to the poisoning attempts.

Sebatta claims that unknown individuals poisoned him through food at a hotel and later through alcohol.

The poisonous substances severely damaged his lungs, rendering them unable to function without medical support.

The situation took a dire turn when medical tests revealed that Sebatta’s lungs were irreparably damaged, necessitating a transplant to save his life.

However, the costly procedure and ongoing medical expenses have placed a significant burden on his family.

Sebatta’s weekly medical expenses at Mulago Cancer Institute exceed UGX 5 million per week for oxygen and medication alone.

The financial strain has left his loved ones seeking external support to ensure his recovery.

In a heartening display of solidarity, Mubende District Woman MP, Hon. Hope Grania Nakazibwe, visited Sebatta at the hospital and provided financial assistance to aid in his treatment.
