Maurice Lule, a celebrated journalist popularly known as Kalusha Bwaliya Omuzambia, has expressed interest in representing Bukomansimbi North as a member of parliament.
Lule, who hails from Bukomansimbi district, Bukango Sub-county, Kalungu parish, and Kalungu village, is eager to join the National Unity Platform (NUP), a leading opposition party in Uganda.
Lule has requested that the NUP entrust him with the party card, allowing him to represent both the party and his community in parliament.
This move marks a significant shift for Lule, who has built a reputation as a respected journalist and Programs Director at Heart FM radio.
Born and raised in Bukomansimbi, Lule’s educational background includes St. Jude Kyaziiza Primary School and St. George’s SSS Makukuulu.
He later pursued a diploma in mass communication from Kampala University.
Before joining Heart FM radio, Lule worked with 89.3 Kafo Radio Kyotera and taught in several schools within Bukomansimbi, including St. Lawrence Standard High School Bulenge and Aunt Mary Nursery and Primary School.
While NUP considers Lule’s request, the people of Bukomansimbi North await the opportunity to be represented by a leader with a deep understanding of their needs and concerns.
As elections are just around the corner in early February 2025, according to the Electoral Commission’s roadmap, Lule seems poised to kick off his campaigns soon, building on the community activities he has already been engaged in.
