UK Expels Ugandan Ambassador Over Human Trafficking Allegations

By The Binocular Reporter

Kampala, Uganda – Uganda’s former ambassador to the UK faces explosive allegations of running a human trafficking ring under the guise of diplomatic privileges.

The ambassador, a top leader at the Ugandan Mission to the UK, allegedly smuggled Ugandan women into the UK. They pretended to hire them as domestic workers but instead exploited and sold them into domestic servitude.

“British authorities discovered that these women were exploited and sold into domestic servitude, with the ambassador profiting from their labor,” a source within the Foreign Affairs ministry revealed.

The ambassador denies the allegations, calling them “concocted and full of falsehoods.”

“I can only mention that whatever information you got seems concocted and full of falsehoods,” the ambassador said in response to queries.

However, sources within the Foreign Affairs ministry corroborate the claims, stating that the ambassador profited from the women’s labor.

British authorities uncovered the scheme after one of the trafficked women escaped, exposing fraudulent work papers. The ambassador’s expulsion followed.

Efforts to speak to Mr. Vincent Bagiire, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Amb. Nimisha Madhvani, the ambassador’s line manager in the UK, were unsuccessful.

The ambassador claimed the domestic worker at the heart of the trouble was attempting to remain in the UK by filing for asylum against their best intentions.

This scandal is the latest in a series of diplomatic embarrassments for Uganda.
