Mubende, Uganda – The Mubende Magistrate’s Court has given Abdul Juuko, alias Butodene, 14 days to repay a 2 million shilling debt to widow Nantumbwe Esther.

Widow Nantumbwe Esther, Abdul Juuko a.k.a Butodene

Butodene borrowed the money in 2014 alongside Fahad Kawuma (Prince K) to fund their audio recording business, T One Studio.

As was working with Heart FM, Butodene took sole ownership of the studio, prompting Prince K to report the issue to Heart FM’s Director, PR Charles Kisakye.

Butodene accepted responsibility for the debt and signed a new agreement to pay 2,360,000 shillings, including profits.

However, in an interview, Butodene claimed he only owed 1 million shillings, stating Fahad Kawuma was responsible for the remaining balance.

This claim contradicts the agreement Butodene signed, taking full responsibility for the debt.

Esther disputes Butodene’s assertion, citing the agreement and his actions:

“Butodene chased Fahad from the studio and took sole ownership. How can he now claim Fahad owes part of the debt?” Esther questioned.

The court’s ruling, effective September 2, 2024, orders Butodene to repay the debt within 14 days or face arrest and legal action.

Widow Nantumbwe Esther welcomes the court’s decision, hoping to finally receive justice after a decade-long struggle.

“I want my 2 million shillings back, not partial payments. I’ve waited 10 years, and it’s time for Butodene to take responsibility,” Esther stated.
